ABOUT US
Our History
A tradition of excellence and exceptional customer service
Fleetway began in 1984 as Saint John Naval Systems (SJNS), a Halifax, Nova Scotia-based company formed to provide engineering and logistics support to the Canadian Patrol Frigate (CPF) program (Halifax Class).
At the end of the successful CPF project, staff were transferred to Fleetway from both Saint John Shipbuilding Limited and Halifax Shipyard, which had previously acquired German Marine -- the designers of the 12-ship MCDV class.
In 1997, SJNS acquired and merged with Fleetway Consulting Services Inc. in Ottawa, Ontario, forming a new company -- Fleetway Inc. This company, with offices in Ottawa and Halifax, delivered extensive engineering, logistics and life cycle support services to the Canadian Department of National Defence (DND), becoming the In-Service Support contractor for both the Halifax Class frigates and the Iroquois Class destroyers. The company also expanded into Supply Chain management services for Eastern Canada's Oil & Gas industry.
Fleetway has continued to expand and has opened offices in St. John's Newfoundland & Labrador and Victoria, B.C. in order to service our customers coast to coast.
Fleetway is a proud member of the J.D. Irving, Limited, group of companies.

Social Responsibility
Strengthening Our Communities Together
At Fleetway, we are committed to being involved in our community.
We understand the importance of giving back, through community involvement, corporate or individual employee volunteer-ship, sponsorship programs and scholarships, charitable donations, and the many efforts of our dedicated employee volunteers. Our commitment is creating socially responsible changes that positively benefit all of us and contribute to the community, wellness and environment.
Our Commitment to the fight against Cancer
Fleetway has chosen The Canadian Cancer Society as one of its charities of choice. Since the adoption of this charity in 2016 we have already managed to raise over $30,000. Through local fund raising events and in-house activities we are proving that Fleetway can make a difference.
